1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Extension, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information:
- Device and Browser Information: Browser type, operating system, extension version, and IP address.
- Usage and Log Data: Login timestamps, error logs, performance diagnostics, and feature interactions.
- Ticker and Website Detection Data:
- The Extension detects stock ticker symbols from URLs and page content when you visit whitelisted financial websites (and optionally through manual scans on non-whitelisted sites).
- Detected ticker symbols are checked against our internal case database to determine whether a related securities action exists.
- We may keep records of stock-related websites visited where a ticker symbol is detected, for the purpose of notifying you about new or updated cases relevant to stocks you have shown interest in.
1.3 Local Storage, Caching, and Notifications
Client-Side Storage: The Extension uses localStorage on your device to cache case data, visited stock-related websites, and preferences to improve performance and load times. Local storage has a greater data capacity than the more familiar cookies and does not expire unless explicitly cleared by the user or the application.
Server-Side Caching: We use server-side caching technologies (including Redis) to temporarily store case data and stock-related website information. Cached data is retained for up to one hour and then refreshed or deleted.
Extension Notifications: We send notifications within the Chrome Extension to inform you about new cases, case updates, and platform-related announcements.
1.4 Cookies
The Extension itself does not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers. Our public website may use essential session cookies to enable secure operation and account access.
1.5 Sensitive Data and Children's Information
We do not intentionally collect government-issued identification numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive personal data through the Extension.
The Extension is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

- Providing and Operating the Extension: Account authentication, stock ticker detection, case matching, notifications, and access to case details.

L&K is not responsible for and cannot control the privacy practices of third-party websites, links, claim portals, or other external resources.
